ROLL’AIR
Until now, there was no effective dehumidifier for greenhouses below 10°C.
Our new dehumidification system is designed to be effective in greenhouses with lower temperatures, between 0°C and 10°C.
It effectively reduces air humidity in cold greenhouses.
Dehumidifier for Cold Greenhouses
Possible applications:
Ideal for any greenhouse crop facing humidity issues when the temperature is between 0°C and 10°C.
- Compatible with both existing and new greenhouses.
- Can be installed on the ground with or without an airflow duct, or suspended above the crop.
- A solution for cold and overly humid nights (see the graph below).
This unique system avoids the common problems of conventional thermal dehumidifiers, whose efficiency drastically drops below 10°C and require energy-consuming defrosting. Unlike standard models optimized for a specific operating point (e.g., 20°C-80% relative humidity), the Roll’Air maintains its performance over a wide range of conditions, ensuring consistent dehumidification even when the temperature drops to 5°C, where conventional units often stop working or become ineffective.
In cold periods, in a greenhouse without heating, sunny days can raise the temperature above 20°C inside. However, the greenhouse will only be open for a few hours during the day. The rest of the time, it remains closed, possibly with the thermal screen drawn. The humidity cannot escape and rises sharply as the temperature drops. This is how the crops end up every day in conditions that hinder their growth and promote diseases. The ROLL’air is very useful for this type of greenhouse because the relative humidity can be capped at 75%, for example, at any time of the day. Additionally, during its operation, it provides some valuable heat to the greenhouse.
Features
- The only system on the market capable of dehumidifying between 0°C and 10°C with an efficiency of nearly 2 liters / kWh.
- Under the hood, two dehumidification systems: a desiccant wheel to trap humidity at low temperatures and a thermodynamic system to capture the humidity from the wheel and provide high dehumidification power above 10°C.
- Remote monitoring available via Ethernet or 3G/4G.
- Next-generation thermodynamic fluid R32 GWP 675 or R454C GWP 149.
Advantages
- Allows airflow through an air duct for uniform distribution of treated air.
- Provides variable speed ventilation with high airflow in circulation mode only.
- Available in a version controllable by a climate computer or autonomous with a humidity sensor.
Free-cooling: regulation of the outside air intake
Circulation mode with variable speed
Autonomous regulation based on relative humidity or water deficit
Installation of air ducts for airflow
Castors to easily move it from one place to another in the greenhouse.
- Reliable dehumidification from 0 to 25°C: Effective even at low temperatures, without defrosting cycle, ideal for cold greenhouses.
- Heat supply: Adds heat to the greenhouse, allowing it to stay closed longer and helping to gain in early production or extend the season.
- Variable speed ventilation: Increases air circulation rate for uniform and efficient distribution.
- Control and automation: Available in autonomous and communicative versions with a climate computer for precise regulation.
- Plug & play installation: Simple and quick monoblock system to implement, easy electrical connection and condensate drainage.
- Robust materials: Aluminum frame with double-skin galvanized steel panels for exceptional durability.
